A Macomb County woman shopping for groceries looked at the ticket a second time because she didn’t believe she had just won $4 million on a Michigan Lottery instant play.

The 75-year-old, who chose to remain anonymous, won the top prize on a CA$4,000,000 bill, according to the Michigan Lottery. She bought it at the Kroger Store at 26233 Hoover Road in Warren.

“I decided to buy a lottery ticket while I was shopping,” she said. “I didn’t see any winnings on the ticket when I scratched it, but I scanned it at the store to be sure. When I got a message to file a claim, I looked at the ticket a second time and that’s when I realized I had won $4 million. I could not believe it !”
