Fast-growing Twin Cities chain arrives in West Fargo this spring – InForum

WEST FARGO – A mother-daughter trio bring a chain based on healthy Twin Cities to West Fargo.

Local franchisee Kim Scott and his two daughters will be opening a Nautical Bowls at 665 23rd Ave. E. in West Fargo, near Stone Town Grill and Cash Wise. This will be the franchise’s first location in North Dakota.
Scott told InForum that she discovered the Nautical Bowls brand through a friend in the Twin Cities area.

“As soon as I walked in I thought, ‘This place is really cool,'” she recalls. “It was good, but you can also say it’s very healthy for you.”

The future home of Nautical Bowls, a Twin Cities-based superfood and acai bowl restaurant, is seen Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 665 32nd Ave. E., # 106 in West Fargo. Nautical Bowls has 33 locations open or in development.

During her visit, she also noticed that Nautical Bowls had announced franchise plans, at which point Scott realized that it would be a great choice for Fargo. “We don’t have anything like that in Fargo,” she said. “A lot of people at Fargo like to look for healthy options, especially in the middle of their workday. “

The Nautical Bowls menu features 10 different signature bowls, Scott said, along with an option to make your own. Customers can choose from seven different bases, including Acai, Mango, Coconut, and Cacao. Toppings include hemp seeds, coconut flakes, chia seeds, almonds, granola, and fruit. Plus, Nautical Bowls offers homemade peanut butter among other wet toppings. Scott said his favorite bowl is an acai base with granola, strawberries, bananas and blueberries.

Scott said Nautical Bowls isn’t just looking to provide a healthy meal, but also a gathering place for friends. “A more important part for them is really to have a place where people can go to build a community,” she explained. “It really resonates with me. “

Since the new location was announced via social media, Scott said the response has been positive. Many Fargo customers have even recognized the nautical bowls on trips to the Twin Cities, where the company has several open or developing locations. “We have received a lot of very positive responses in this regard,” she said. “As time goes by and we spread it more, we’ll just continue to build on that enthusiasm.”

Nautical Bowls has five open locations, with 31 more in development. Most are concentrated in the area of the Twin Cities. In addition to the new West Fargo location, Nautical Bowls plans to open in Sioux Falls, SD, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania and the Ann Arbor, Michigan area.

Working with his 20 and 18 year old daughters on the Nautical Bowls franchise has been a “super cool experience,” Scott commented. She hopes to open in March or April with what she hopes will be “a huge turnout”.

“We’re excited to put it together and to be able to provide a great place for people to come, relax and eat great, healthy food,” Scott concluded.
